Useful Links

These are links that we have found to be helpful. There is a vast amount of information on the World Wide Web but a lot of it is of dubious reliability. Always try to look in recognised and validated sources ideally bearing the HON.ch logo and remember that you can consult your own Family Doctor for advice.

THE ROUGH GUIDE TO TRAVEL HEALTH. By Dr Nick Jones

This excellent little book (it's the same size as your passport but a bit thicker!) really should be considered an essential piece of kit for the traveller. It has a very good and very full A-Z section on just about any disease you may encounter. There is also a good section on planning your trip and then a useful country by country section on what to expect when you get there.

All this for the amazing price of only £5.00 (I really thought that it would have been £10.00!!) and is available from good book shops - published by Rough Guides and distributed by The Penguin Group - ISBN 1-85828-570-4
